About KWiiD
KWiiD is a Swiss packaging innovator tackling the global challenge of secondary packaging waste. Their flagship product a reusable, collapsible box made from recycled fabric and cardboard replaces single-use transport boxes in retail and logistics. It features a cardboard interior and a fabric outer layer made from recycled materials.
This solution eliminates not only the waste generated at the end of a product’s life but also reduces environmental impact throughout the life cycle - cutting down on raw material extraction, processing, and transportation from manufacturing plants to distribution centers.

However, KWiiD needed a way to quantify these environmental savings and communicate the importance of their solution to customers using credible data.
CarbonBright Solution
In the packaging industry, reusable formats are often under-leveraged due to a lack of credible data and standardized comparisons with single-use alternatives.
Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) are typically manual, carbon-focused, and not easily accessible—making it difficult for innovators like KWiiD to validate their impact across multiple environmental metrics or communicate with confidence to procurement teams, partners, and investors.
By integrating CarbonBright’s Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) platform, KWiiD was able to:

Quantify the full environmental impact of their reusable packaging across carbon, water, land use, pollution, and toxicity

Compare reuse vs. single-use models across real-world usage cycles—using standardized, audit-ready outputs.

Communicate impact clearly with stakeholders using credible, multi-indicator data backed by global standards.

Strengthen product claims with a high-confidence, independent validation that elevates their value proposition in a competitive, sustainability-driven market.
This approach enabled KWiiD to move beyond assumptions and anecdotes—towards data-backed storytelling that reinforces both their mission and market relevance.
